Reviewer profile

Gabriel Silva

Sports science student, founder of North Star Theory, and named reviewer of NST’s published educational content.

Background

What the credential means.

Gabriel studies sports science and created NST to make fitness research easier to understand when people are deciding how to train, recover, eat or choose equipment.

“Sports science student” is stated plainly. It is not a medical qualification, a protected clinical title or a claim to provide individual diagnosis or treatment. Where a topic requires clinical judgement, NST should obtain appropriate specialist review or keep that judgement outside the article’s scope.

What reviewed means

A recorded check, not a badge added automatically.

  1. 01

Check the main claims, numbers, populations and limitations against the cited sources.

  2. 02

Check that practical guidance does not promise results or cross into unsupported medical advice.

  3. 03

Resolve conflicting evidence, unsupported statements and unfinished editorial notes before approval.

  4. 04

Check the finished page, including citations, links, disclosures and plain-language wording.

Review dates and corrections

Each published content page shows who reviewed it, when it was last verified and when its next review is due. A due date is a latest planned check, not a guarantee that evidence cannot change sooner. Material corrections can trigger an earlier review.
