Cookie information

Tracking should never be a surprise.

This page explains the current use of cookies and similar browser technologies on North Star Theory.

Current status

No nonessential cookies are currently installed.

The current website does not include audience analytics, advertising trackers, account login, shopping features, or cross-site personalisation tools. North Star Theory does not currently set cookies for those purposes.

The optional Recovery Routine Builder uses one first-party local storage entry, nst.recovery-planner.v1, to remember daily check-ins and selected actions in that browser. The choices are not sent to North Star Theory or a third party. They remain until the visitor uses Reset week, clears the site's browser data, or the browser removes them.

A hosting provider may still process ordinary technical request information to deliver pages, maintain security, and diagnose faults. That processing does not mean NST is using a visitor profile for advertising.

What happens if this changes?

Use Reset week in the planner to remove its saved choices. Browser settings can also clear the site's stored data. NST will update this page and add a clear choice before using any technology that requires consent.

NST standard

Browser technology needs a visible reason.

01

No hidden tracking

The current website does not include advertising trackers, audience analytics, or tools that follow visitors across other websites.

02

Clear purpose

Every storage technology should have its purpose, provider, and expected duration explained in plain language.

03

Choice before use

Technology that is not essential should not be used before a visitor has made an informed choice where consent is required.

04

Review over time

Cookie information should be updated when the website adds analytics, accounts, payments, personalisation, or advertising tools.
