Tracking should never be a surprise.

The current website does not load an audience-analytics beacon, advertising tracker, account login, shopping cart, or cross-site personalisation tool. North Star Theory does not currently set cookies for those purposes. Cloudflare may process network-level traffic and security data to deliver and protect the proxied website; that server-side processing does not place an NST analytics cookie in the visitor's browser.

The optional Recovery Routine Builder uses one first-party local storage entry, nst.recovery-planner.v1, to remember daily check-ins and selected actions in that browser. The choices are not sent to North Star Theory or a third party. After 30 days they are ignored, and the browser copy is deleted the next time the planner is opened. The visitor can remove them sooner with Reset week, by clearing the site's browser data, or when the browser removes them.

When you choose Save or Add to compare in the buying desk, the first-party entry nst.deal-reader.v1 remembers the selected product identifiers and an expiry time in this browser. It holds no prices, retailer links, searches or help-me-choose answers. The choices stay on your device and expire 30 days after your last change; expired or unavailable selections are removed when you next use the tools. Use Clear saved products, Clear comparison or Clear all choices to remove them sooner. If storage is blocked, the tools work for the current page without saving your choices between visits.

When you choose Save recipe or Remember cooking checks, the first-party entry nst.kitchen-reader.v1 stores up to 20 recipe identifiers and five cooking checklists. Checklists include the recipe version, portions, ticked ingredient and step identifiers, and a last-change time. Each choice expires 30 days after its last change; reading it does not renew it. Expired or unavailable entries are ignored and deletion is attempted when you next use the recipe tools. Nothing is sent to NST. Use the recipe shelf's Clear saved recipes, Clear cooking checks or Clear all kitchen choices controls, or your browser settings. If storage is blocked, changes last only for this visit; the website may be unable to update or delete the browser's copy.

A hosting provider may still process ordinary technical request information to deliver pages, maintain security, and diagnose faults. That processing does not mean NST is using a visitor profile for advertising.

A prepared, not-yet-active guide checkout feature sends a visitor who chooses to buy a guide to Stripe's own checkout page on Stripe's domain, not a page on this website. Any cookie that page sets is set on Stripe's own domain under Stripe's own cookie notice, not by northstartheory.com; this website does not load Stripe's checkout code or set a Stripe cookie itself.
