Corrections policy
What NST corrects.
A correction fixes something that was wrong. Disagreeing with how evidence has been weighed is welcome as feedback, but it is not automatically a correction.
Factual error
A number, date, dose, population or finding that a page states incorrectly.
Source or citation
A source that is misdescribed, misattributed or broken, or that does not say what the page says it does.
Missing limitation
A limitation, caveat or safety boundary that is missing and makes a page misleading.
Wording beyond the evidence
A sentence that claims more than the cited evidence supports.
Product fact
A product detail that was wrong when it was published.
What happens next
A correction changes the page and leaves a record.

Check
NST checks the reported statement against the sources the page cites.

Correct and record
If a substantive error is confirmed, the page is corrected, its Last verified date changes to the date of the re-check, and the correction is entered in the log below.

No silent changes
NST does not change a substantive claim without recording it here. Typos, formatting and link repairs that do not change what a page says may be fixed without a log entry.
Corrections are checked by the named reviewer, Gabriel Silva, who is also the founder. No independent second reviewer is recorded, so a correction is not independently verified. The limits of a review are set out on the methodology page.

The contact route is not open yet.
NST's public contact address is withheld until email delivery has been verified, so corrections cannot be received by email at the moment. The Contact page shows when that changes.
Do not include health records, passwords, payment details or other sensitive information.
