Review queue

What NST should check next, and what should stay out.

This is the holding page for product ideas, comparison gaps and reader suggestions. It keeps the process visible without turning unreviewed products into recommendations.
No retailer link is added from this page. Suggestions enter review, not the recommendation list.

Why this exists

A smaller reviewed queue beats a big fake list.

NST should grow like a proper review library: clear lanes, clear reasons, and clear rejection rules. The queue helps readers see that a product idea is not the same thing as a recommendation.

Strength equipment

Adjustable dumbbells, belts, pull-up options and home-gym basics.

Good fit for practical comparisons because readers need space, budget and training-context guidance before buying.

Supplements and nutrition basics

Creatine, protein, electrolytes and caffeine support questions.

Needs strict evidence separation so the page does not turn normal nutrition advice into a product push.

Recovery tools

Foam rollers, massage guns and simple mobility tools.

Useful only when claims are limited and recovery promises are not exaggerated.

Running and conditioning tools

Heart-rate straps, basic tracking tools and conditioning accessories.

Strong lane for decision support because accuracy, comfort and training use matter more than hype.

Queue process

From suggestion to review decision.

The goal is not to publish every requested product. The goal is to publish the products and comparisons where NST can explain the use case, limits, evidence basis and commercial status clearly.

  1. 01

    Reader request

A reader, search pattern or content gap points to a product category or buying question worth checking.

  2. 02

    Evidence screen

The topic is checked against training evidence, realistic use cases and whether NST can explain who it is actually for.

  3. 03

    Product fact check

Public product facts, limitations, model identity and current retailer availability are checked before a product can appear.

  4. 04

    Commercial guardrail

Any retailer action has to stay optional, clearly disclosed and separate from the evidence basis.

  5. 05

    Publish, park or reject

A topic only moves forward when it can be useful without fake urgency, forced rankings or unsupported claims.

Rejection rules

What NST should not publish.

These rules protect the site from becoming a thin affiliate list. They also make it easier to say no when the product, evidence or disclosure standard is not strong enough.

  • Reject: No product gets listed just because it has an affiliate link.
  • Reject: No static prices, star ratings, review counts, discount claims, delivery promises or stock claims are published in evergreen copy.
  • Reject: No hands-on testing language is used unless NST has a repeatable test record for the exact product.
  • Reject: No medical, injury or performance promise is treated as proven unless the evidence supports that level of certainty.

Reader path

Have a product or buying mistake to check?

Send the product category, the exact buying question and why it matters. The request can shape the queue, but the recommendation only happens after evidence, product facts and commercial checks.

Help shape the queue

Suggest the next buying question.

Tell NST what you want checked next. A suggestion can help prioritise the queue, but it never becomes a retailer recommendation until the review standards are met.

Reader suggestions inform the research queue. They do not create an affiliate recommendation until the product, evidence and disclosure checks are complete.
