Advantages

• The manufacturer lists built-in GPS/GLONASS, optical heart-rate sensing, an AMOLED display and on-device storage for recent motion and heart-rate data.
• Google publishes device safety information, export/deletion controls and a minimum security-support date of February 2028.

Limitations

• NST has not tested heart rate, GPS, sleep, SpO2, temperature, calorie, readiness, battery, water-resistance or notification performance.
• Google states the health and fitness functions are for information only and are not medical devices or intended for diagnosis or treatment.
• Use requires a Google Account, compatible phone, Google Health app, Bluetooth LE and internet; requirements and features can change.
• The service can process sensitive activity, heart-rate, sleep, location and other health/wellness data. Export and deletion controls do not remove the need for a full privacy appraisal.
• Up-to-seven-day battery life and 50-metre water-resistance language carry manufacturer limitations and are not guaranteed real-world outcomes.
• Current policies, feature availability and security-support dates must be rechecked before publication.
